This month's Book Fair was a huge success! Sales were more than $1000 better than last year's November Book Fair. We have earned more than $2000 worth of resources from Scholastic! Thank you to all students and parents for your support! A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Turner's grade 6 library helpers, and to parents Barb Thompson, Marianne Dehmel, and Lisa Murphy for volunteering. I would also like to thank Mrs. Bernard and Mr. Waugh for helping me pack up the book fair.

I will update you on any new books that are in as well as any changes that are taking place.

Grade 5 Author Study

Hi to Mrs. Turner and Mr. Bernard's classes. We are going to be working on an author study about Gordon Korman. I'm sure that you have heard of him and you have probably read at least one of his books (he has written many of them!). There are some websites that you are going to need, and they are on the right hand side of this page. Good luck! I hope that you learn lots about Mr. Korman!

To organize your novel study, we are going to use the computer program called "Inspiration". I will show you how to use this program and you will have a chance to play and explore with it before we actually start your project. I will give you one piece of advice that you should stick to so you don't run out of time while completing your project - input all of your information before you experiment with colour, graphics and fonts!

Have fun with your creation! I can't wait to see your presentations!
